Welcome to bigfoothill.

Greetings to you. May you feel at home and enjoy what I am sharing on this little corner. I am learning as much as I can from you and fellow blogger community. It is my first attempt at blogging. Who knows, it could be another source of information for the community and at the same time it could well be another source of income for me as I am as much interested in making money online. MPPP Notice to Persons with Burial Rights and Personal Representatives and/or family members or burials right of deceased buried at Western Road Christian Cemetery, Penang

http://www.mppp.gov.my/web/guest/pengumuman

I was given a copy of this notice by our Bukit Mertajam Baptist Church's member who had received it through the Penang Christian Cemeteries Association (PCCA) to do the needful and contact the Penang City Hall (www.mppp.gov.my).  I hope this will be a little reminder to those interested parties to respond accordingly.

I can understand that it will be a little of a hassle for some family members to look up for the old receipts of the purchases made for their beloved departed who were buried there many years ago.  I contacted the MPPP at the number 604-227 5658 yesterday but were redirected to contact the person-in-charge who is handling the matter and to obtain a form from site office at Western Road  which is open from 8am to 12noon and from 2pm to 5pm(every day except Saturday and Sunday) to complete the details for submission to update the register of Penang City Hall(Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang) ON OR BEFORE 30 NOVEMBER 2010 (TUESDAY). Failing which, MPPP will take necessary actions to re-possess the burial plots for use.

It is also giving one month notice to the personal representatives and family members to remove or fill up with cement the concrete flower pots/vessels or any other water retaining decorations built on the graves to prevent mosquito breeding  failing which MPPP will take necessary action.  It is a preventive measures to check the breeding of mosquitoes especially the Aedes from spreading dengue fever and Chikungunya virus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chikungunya

The notice was also posted on MPPP website but it did not provide download of the form.  I have earlier contacted the PCCA office and were informed to deal directly with MPPP office in Komtar, Georgetown, Penang.  Need to go to Level 3 to obtain a pass to access to Level 11.

I was enlighten by the person at PCCA that the new Penang Christian Cemetery plots on the Mainland Penang located at Seberang Perai Selatan is very near to Penang Bridge Second Link.  Each burial plot is now fixed at RM3,000.00.  For more details, please obtain from the PCCA office at 108, Jalan Free School, 11600 Georgetown, Pulau Pinang or contact/Fax no. 604-281 3028.
